Antivirus False Positive

What is False Positive?

False Positive is a condition where an antivirus wrongly identifies a legitimate file as a malicious one. Antivirus vendor could not avoid this condition. Therefore, they prefer quarantine detected file to remove it.

Why are you very aware with False Positive?

Our software was created using Perl and used pp (PAR Packager) Module to create standalone program. This module can be categorized as a Packer. Although Packer is useful, but it could be used for malicious purposes. This module was previously detected by some antiviruses as a Trojan. Of course, this is False Positive.

What should I do?

If you trust with our software, please ignore antivirus warning if any and put our software to white list or exclude list. Furthermore, please contact us at support[at]metamorphosec.com. We will report it to antivirus vendor as soon as possible.

However, if you trust with your antivirus, then please follow their recommendation.
